Introduction

Sentraiq is a Chrome extension designed to help you protect sensitive information when using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, as well as supported email workflows such as Gmail compose interception. This privacy policy explains how Sentraiq works and our commitment to keeping your data private and secure.

Information Collection & Privacy by Design

Sentraiq is built on the principle of local-first processing.

• Automatic Collection: Sentraiq does not automatically collect, store, or transmit your personal data, prompts, or messages. All scanning and masking happen entirely within your browser.
• User-Initiated Feedback: If you choose to use the "Not a Risk?" feature to report a false detection, the extension will transmit specific metadata, such as the detection category and the application name, and any comments you explicitly provide to our secure feedback log. This action is entirely voluntary and is never performed automatically.

How It Works

Sentraiq analyzes text in real time within your browser. When you type or paste content into supported AI tools or Gmail compose surfaces, the extension checks for patterns, such as API keys or financial identifiers, using high-performance local logic.

• Protection: If sensitive data is detected, Sentraiq provides a warning and options to mask or edit the content before it is sent to the AI tool or email destination.
• Local History: A log of these events is stored in your browser's local storage so you can review your protection history. This data stays on your device and is never synced to our servers.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

• No Third-Party Sales: We never sell, trade, or rent your information.
• Feedback Transmission: Voluntary feedback is sent to a secure Google-managed environment, Google Apps Script, solely for the purpose of refining our detection engine.
• External AI Services: Sentraiq does not interact with the APIs of the AI tools you use, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, or email provider APIs. It only interacts with the local web interface to provide a security guardrail.

Permissions

Sentraiq requests access to specific AI and email websites to provide real-time protection. This access is used strictly to detect and prevent data leaks. We use the minimum permissions necessary to function, adhering to the Chrome Web Store's security requirements.

Data Security

Your security is our priority. Because processing is local, you maintain full control.

• Local Control: You can clear your local protection history at any time through the extension settings.
• Encryption: Any user-initiated feedback is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS channels to ensure it remains secure during transit.
